Nepal have 14 Zone and mechi is the first eastern zone of Nepal and also Ilam is located in this zone.In this District we can reach about 600 km east of the kathmandu valley and about 15 hour we can reach here. And another way of the going Ilan is flight from Tribhuban International Airport Kathmandu to Bhadrapur Airport Jhapa, about 35 min from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur.

Ilam is the famous for Tea garden of the east Nepal,many tourist like national and international come to visit Ilam to see the wonderful tea garden.
