Nepal is a
mountainous country. Most part of the country is covered by mountains and Hills
. only 17% land is plane.
There are
ranges of high mountains in the north of Nepal. Above the altitude of 5000m the
mountains are covered with snow all round the year . They are called Himalayas
. the Himalayas stop the dry arctic wind blowing south which keeps our country
and south Asia warm. They also from a barrier rain in the country. The Himalayas
are the source of all the big perennial rivers of our country. they are very important
in determining the physical features of Nepal.
