The famous fastivel of jankpur is Chhat. Chhat festival is mainlycelebrated in Tarai . Is the festival worshiping the sun God. It comes after Tihar, On theis occasion people fast and go to a river or lake and worship tthe setting sun.On this sixth day of Chhat, they worship the rising sun. People party and worship the Sun Gud with flowers and lamps and offer fruits and sweets.
